EPISODE 25: How to BioHack and Manifest Your Best Life

Episode 25: David Christopher Lee

Every day, we’re literally making great leaps towards perfecting human experience. While it seems like a never-ending chase of problem-solving, our ability to continuously unfold answers and ‘crack the code’ is ever-more amazing.

Have you heard the term ‘biohacking’ before? Or maybe you’ve come across Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey rave about the benefits of fasting intermittently and drinking “salt juice” each morning or read about former NASA employee Josiah Zayner injecting himself with DNA using the gene-editing technology CRISPR.

Advanced science degree holders or not, an increasing number of people are now adopting a lifestyle that, well, experimenting on their own bodies with the hope of boosting their physical and cognitive performance, DIY style.

And this week’s guest, celebrity photographer and high-life wallbreaker David Christopher Lee, is all about that and helping people make more informed decisions about the hacks that they want to try.

Getting it the unconventional way is nothing new to David. He broke into the celebrity, fashion and luxury lifestyle industry unlike the other big names in the scene. At one point, he had the same feeling as many of us have had—that we don’t belong. But David knew what he wanted and persisted on it. With a strong support group, he learned to fit and be there.
But unlike his philosophy in manifesting his vision for his life, David has an insightful take on achieving thrive state, something he learned from dry fasting: you actually don’t need anything except for yourself. You are your best medicine!

Photography was my Door to the Celeb World: I felt a bit out of place, but I believed that I belonged there. Even if I wasn’t dressed like everybody, eventually I would learn how to fit in and be there.

11:37

Manifestation is believing something you want will happen. Put your idea in the universe and do anything in your power to make it happen.

13:42

Asian breaking into entertainment to naysayers: There should be more representation in the industry. I want to see as many Asian faces as possible.

18:11

A good time for Biohacking: When the pandemic hit, I became more into biohacking, meditation, and a lot of grounding work.

20:35

Dry Fasting is Powerful: It doesn’t cost anything. But above all, dry fasting can help disconnect you from the world. It taught me that I don’t need anything except for myself.

25:44

From TDinc to biohack.org: The biohacking industry is still very new. Right now, many of the influencers are men. But it has to be told also from a woman’s perspective. It’s just a matter of having people from different backgrounds embrace this new form of rejuvenation and anti-aging techniques.

28:19

Everything has to be fun. With all these stimuli that we deal with, we need ways of standing out and entertainment is the best way to do that.

33:16

If you have a goal and a vision, think about your resources. Nobody can do anything by themselves. Everybody needs help. Keep asking. And provide value to people that ground you so you can come up together.
