What’s the biggest barrier to achieving lasting weight loss, optimal health, and peak performance?
Many people assume the answer is simple: finding the right diet, discovering the perfect workout routine, or having access to better food. Others believe that exercise is simply too difficult or that their busy schedule makes healthy living impossible.
But what if the real obstacle isn’t the food you eat or the workout you follow?
What if the biggest barrier is actually the mindset required to stay consistent?
According to Joel Evan, the true challenge for most people isn’t knowing what to do—it’s developing the mentality, habits, and discipline needed to keep doing it day after day. Sustainable health transformation doesn’t come from a quick fix or a temporary burst of motivation. It comes from building a mindset that supports long-term change.
Joel Evan is a life and health coach as well as an Integrative Health Practitioner (Level 1/2) who works with busy, motivated individuals looking to lose weight, optimize their health, and uncover the root causes of their health challenges. Rather than focusing only on surface-level solutions, Joel helps people dig deeper into the lifestyle, mindset, and biological factors that may be holding them back.
A strong influence in Joel’s work is the rapidly growing culture of biohacking—a movement focused on using science, technology, and intentional lifestyle strategies to improve human performance and well-being. This philosophy inspired his podcast, The Hacked Life Podcast, where he explores innovative ways to optimize the body and mind.

Before entering the world of health coaching, Joel served as a first responder. Witnessing the physical and emotional demands of that role—and experiencing the health struggles within his own family—ultimately inspired him to pursue a different path. Determined to better understand the root causes of illness and human performance, he began studying functional and integrative health.
Joel eventually trained under renowned naturopath and functional medicine practitioner Stephen Cabral, whose work focuses on identifying the underlying imbalances that contribute to chronic health issues.
